Thanks for posting, Niels. That was a very tuneful rendition of the song for first go. Makes me want to play it now! Look forward to hearing you play it in a couple of weeks after your practice journey. It’s inspiring watching and hearing how others improve on this forum, and motivating to get in there and practice new techniques and revisit songs.

Playing lots of Christmas tunes with friends earlier got me thinking that “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” is my favourite, especially the version by The Cocteau Twins & I didn’t have any music or tabs for it so I spent some time just making up my own version from singing it in my head!

– Start with scale(s) checking sound & finger placement. (Related to current tune being practiced)
– Basic tunes “Go Tell Aunt Rowdey,” “Perpetual Motion,” Add variations to these.
– A couple of Familiar tunes.
– Current tune being practiced. Sections or loops, then entire tune.
– End with slow familiar tune to wind down. -
