That was so lovely to listen to Debbie, you really brought out the qualities of the fiddle and reminded me why I’m drawn to this instrument. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

That was lovely Debbie! I haven’t heard that one before but love the double stops too. Something I don’t try enough. It’s inspiring to see you use them to such affect.

I told my boyfriend about 3 weeks ago I have always wanted to play the fiddle. Next thing I know I have one and found this wonderful site. I am on my 3rd week and have learned so much. I have enjoyed every step of my journey.
Jason you are a wonderful teacher. Thank you for what you do.
I just turned 44 and can’t wait to learn more with y’all -

started this today. next up is Soldiers Joy. I can play them but have some rough spots. I am convinced practice will fix 99% of my fiddle issues.

Thanks, Jason. I’m not sure if there is a particular method of choosing songs to play together in a set. Hope to see you post something with strum machine soon, Patty! It’s a great tool.

Nice embellishments, Joanne! Great Irish feel. I haven’t quite worked out the difference between a mordent and a roll yet – have to the Irish fiddle journey. Slides will be my next challenge though, because they are very cool!
