Now its six months later and I’m so proud of myself for sticking with learning an instrument! These courses are perfect for the way I…[Read more]

Beginner Group 2 years, 8 months agoHey new fiddle-friends 🎻 I put my instrument down for vacay. It took a little extra gumption, back at home, to get things up and running again. I’ve alwa…[Read more]

Beginner Group 2 years, 9 months agoHow do I know if I’m developing a bad habit? For example, on a couple of songs, if there’s a “side by side” scale and I’m going down the melody like D3-D2-D1, I find I’m holding down all three at the same time and just lifting each finger up. It kinda
happened without me thinking about it but is it a bad habit and will it slow me down in songs…[Read more]-
That’s a great question, Tammy. If something feels off or not good, that’s a good indicator to see what’s going on and find a way to adjust/change to help it feel right. Always good to reach out to folks around you, especially people who also play the same instrument and get their opinion.
Holding fingers down on fingerboard can be a good…

Beginner Group 2 years, 10 months agoHey folks in this group 🙂
4 of us had a beginner zoom session yesterday and connected on some relatable fiddle topics in our fiddling lives. We are in the works of formulating a regular time to meet.
Who else is interested in being involved with a casual beginner zoom group?
And beyond that, be great to hear folks share what’s current for them…[Read more] -
