Hey it’s great you tried the Garageband too! It’s quite addictive when you get going isn’t it? I’ve been trying out all sorts of tunes using Jason’s guide on playing chords & counter melodies.

Well that seems very complicated but great job with it. Some really nice sounds in there to my ear and I feel your pain with the ‘slowing it down’ thing. I find that slurring notes when I’m playing a tune just automatically speeds everything up. That middle part though, sounded great and some really good ornaments. … Brava Leanna

Go blues … I’m trying the same thing but I have some weird depth perception nonsense I think, because when I look at a video of me playing, I’m not even close to where I think I’m bowing.

Thanks, Mike… I appreciate your kind comments. I am working on my timing and accuracy with this one. I do read music; this is a tune on a cd by Alastair Fraser and Natalie Haan; look it up if you want to hear it done really, really amazingly cool. Hmmm – seems my comment didn’t take. This isn’t a tune I’ve ever heard before – you have a nice tone Patty. Do you read from sheet music or tabs? I honestly don’t see a time when I’ll ever be able to call my playing anything else but ‘practice’ 🙂

Yep, getting better. Seems you have a similar ‘problem’ to me, in that you play quite fr down the strings. I also catch my bow on the knuckle of the body when I play the ‘E’ string and get that squeal too. I can’t seem to get myself playing nearer the bridge consistently. Getting better though – did the blues win?
