Yes. I often like to listen to a recording of the tune by another group or musician on YouTube. It is fun to “play along with others”!

Lovely with the dulcimer back up and good intonation on the high notes. I always have trouble with those!

Lisa, great playing~ I enjoy how you go through the scale, and then move right into the song seamlessly. Nice slurring aswell. The ending was beautiful, including your brief reflection π

Brian, I use the Blue Snowball Mic. Simple to use and not very expensive. Thanks for the feedback. I do a lot of recording and playback to practice intonation

I have a bad habit of holding my breath while playing, particularly when a tune gets faster. I’ve been doing “fiddle yoga”, concentrating on breathing in and out while playing scales and different rhythms.

I like the sound of this. The minor Key is catchy!

I’m bowing challenged! I’m confused about which bowing pattern to use with a reel, jig, polka, etc. and in which style -Irish, Appalachian, etc. I’d like a lesson or two on the possibilities and also some bowing suggestions on the sheet music.
