      Hi Steve, thanks for sharing.

The social platforms on FiddleHed are spread out and not easily seen, so there’s a chance people won’t see your post easily or not until later on. If you’re able to create this/a similar post in the Chit Chat section of Play Every Day, you will be sure to see more responses.

I can understand the struggle with frustration in what we are doing/where we are at/quality of music we produce/etc and it’s good to be with those feelings and thoughts, knowing they will morph and transform.

Some in person lessons can be very beneficial to hone in on some strategies and focuses that can help us along our music journey of growth.
Posting a feedback video on this site could also offer some supporting suggestions for you.
Other folks have also recently been talking about similar feelings/experiences with their playing and finding the need to go back to more simple basics to help with solidifying good habits, to help with what they are wanting to change/achieve.

I’d be curious to hear how your doing with learning the key and associated scales along with the songs you have been focusing on. I find regardless how many or little amount of tunes I am focusing on, if I can balance my focus on learning the key in which that song is in, with associated scales, can bring a lot of fulfillment and expanse.
Similarly, the rhythms and interactions of notes in a song, really breaking that down and understand them in new ways, can go a long way in gaining deeper understanding of the relationship that will come with us with whatever we play.

Looking forward to hearing more from you on your journey.
Cheers and thanks for being a part of FiddleHed 🙂

The notes, rhythm, and string crossing you create is lovely! And your enthusiasm is a joy.

Agreed, thanks for sharing this Owen. I wasn’t familiar with it. Beautiful March 🥁. Your bow moves gracefully!

Agreed, nice playing Owen. 3rd finger vibrato, how you move with your playing, and good use of bow length, all bring out great expression 🎶

Jim, great share 👏🏼 Thanks for this post 🙂
your first video attachment worked well, and also the youtube video share. Sometimes the Youtube video will work better for quality and size of video.

Here’s a rough video I made in response to your openness for feedback. Thanks for the opportunity:

I encourage folks to type the word ‘bowing’ into the search bar on FiddleHed, where there are many great resources for this practise focus.

      Appreciate your work with this!

Congrats on making this video Thomas 👏🏼 and putting it out there!

Be great to hear how other FiddleHed folks experience your playing as possible.

I’ve created a rough feedback video and also wanted to mention a few more points:
Movement in our playing is great to embrace and enjoy more and less of, enjoying playing with movements that feel good for us. Great to continue to open possibilities with various ways we play, with more and less movements, longer and shorter bows, faster and slower hand/arm movements, lighter and heavier contacts, etc. 🙂

Quality can be turned up on below video:

Thanks for sharing your process and enjoyment, John 😀

Yea, the main recommended way is to share a youtube link, as you did.
A guide on this process can be found under the ‘Support’ tab, and the ‘How to use FiddleHed’ page. Part way down this page, there is the question ‘How can I upload a video to the site?’. This provides good info for folks navigating creating a youtube video for sharing. Here’s the reference page for this: https://staging.fiddlehed.com/contact-help-new/how-to-use-fiddlehed/

I’m not as familiar with the .mov attachment sharing, though am seeing the 50 MB limit prompt.
I’ll investigate this more and share what I find out.
