I’m looking to connect with Barbara and Pete who were in the intermediate group last night. I’m not really great at knowing my way around for searching out emails and contacting people in here so could use some help. Thanks.

Thanks to all of you. We truly had the best time. We played and laughed, played and chatted, played and laughed some more. I hope a lot more of you have opportunities to get together. What a blessing!

I’ve started messing with syncopation and have the initial off beat but am stumped with the more advanced things. I’ve tried just listening but haven’t been able to combine playing. I feel like it’s my lack of tab agility. I am maybe too visually stuck on sheet music for my timing and can’t help but wonder if I would get this if I coul…[Read more]

It was well done! I’m really impressed and a bit envious of your pinkie. Mine crooks the wrong way so I have to shift to get the note I want and then when I resume my others I’m out of position. I’m working on that — you make it look so easy.

Hi Barbara. I tried to reply to this a few days ago but for some reason it didn’t post. I don’t learn pieces by heart before going to another. Lots of them I use for exercises in whatever different tempo, fingering challenge or whatever they might offer. Some of the pieces I really want to perfect become a challenge and so I’ll move…[Read more]

Sounds like you are doing great. There are some pieces that I seem to move along better on with a bit of a swing to the tempo. I probably should put more thought to my bowing but I just sort of go with what feels comfortable. I’ve slowed some videos way down and scrutinized the bowing and they slur a lot. Lots of times when I try to b…[Read more]

I’m glad they’re on the mend. I know numerous people who have died with it. I’m 85 and have weathered a lot but have no desire to make that one of the list. So I tolerate the imaginary ankle bracelet with a smile.

🤣. They have me on lockdown so I won’t get Covid. It’s my crazy term for their protectiveness.

Understood. My parents are just getting over COVID at 88 and 84. It’s not fun. We thought we might lose them both but are making the road to recovery. We are blessed.

I’m eastern time zone and for the most part any time is good. My kids have a Covid ankle bracelet on me. A bit of preplanning would probably be best.

What is a Covid ankle bracelet? I’m curious.

I’m just coming into the friends section and, yes, I would love a group practice session I really miss the jam group I was in and would like to show some sort of improvement when we can resume.
